Service Description

Shape & Shade is a specialty class designed for intermediate to advanced artists (ages 10+ or at least 2 years Happimess experience) who want to strengthen their drawing skills. Focusing on observational drawing, portraiture, proportion, shading, and form, students will develop the fundamental techniques that help artists create realistic and expressive work. Rather than traditional acrylic painting, this class uses pencil, graphite, and watercolour as tools to enhance drawing. Students will learn how watercolour can add depth, light, atmosphere, and subtle colour while keeping drawing at the heart of every project. With guidance from one of our experienced instructors, students receive individualized support as they build confidence, refine their technique, and develop their own artistic style. All materials are provided. Classes run every Tuesday from 5:30–6:30 PM. Classes follow the SD48 school calendar and are divided into three semesters. Registration reserves your child's place for the full school year, with each semester invoiced separately.
