We help children gain key art skills, increase self-esteem as they build new skills, and deepen connections to their talent and technique. Each week will cover a different theme; for example a famous artist, space, fairy tales, fantasy characters, and more.
Pick-up for our art classes is available from Squamish Elementary & GHE through our after-school program.
ART CLASSES
At Happimess we believe that art is not only fun, but essential to children's development. Our art classes provide a supportive and nurturing environment for children to explore their creativity, build new skills, and develop self-esteem.
Each month, our classes focus on a new theme, including famous artists, space, fairy tales, fantasy characters, and more. Our talented instructors guide students through a variety of techniques and mediums, helping them to discover new ways to express themselves and deepen their connections to their unique talents.
We also understand that convenience is key for busy families, which is why we offer a pick-up service from Squamish Elementary, GHE & Mamquam through our after-school program.
Beginner - Intermediate level | Ages 7-10 yo
This class is designed to simplify big art concepts into age-appropriate lessons, allowing young artists to explore their creativity. Through a variety of drawing, painting, and craft projects, we introduce students to fundamental art principles in an engaging and accessible way.

Intermediate level | Ages 9-12 yo
Our Fine Arts & Design is an intermediate class that delves into both worlds by alternating between practical and artistic applications. Students will learn about fashion design & brush strokes, design concepts & pencil sketching, Stefan Sagmeister & Pablo Picasso. This is a perfect class for ages 9 and up who are interested to discover more about the art world.

Advanced level | Ages 12+ yo
In this advanced fundamentals class, you will learn a wide range of topics, including: Basic shape drawing, light, and shadow, shading techniques, perspective, the human face and figure ratios, sighting & measurement techniques, composition, painting techniques, brushwork, colour theory, working with different mediums.

To secure your spot in a class, full payment is required at the time of registration.

Registration fees are non-refundable.

If you need to cancel your enrollment in a class, please notify us at least 10 days before the class start date by sending an email to info@happimess.net

Upon timely cancellation, you will receive a credit that can be applied towards any of our services or products.

In the event a spot becomes available in a class, waitlisted students will be prioritized based on the order of our registration process.

Waitlisted students will have 24 hours to claim their spot before we move on to the next student on the list.

In the event that Happimess cancels all or part of a scheduled class for any reason, we will provide full credit towards any of our services or products for the amount paid (or pro-rated if the class has already started).
For all other cancellations made within 10 days or less of the class start date, we regret to inform you that no refunds or credits will be issued.

If you are enrolled with a private online school, we can work with you to direct bill your school for art education as part of your curriculum.
