Week 1 | Fundamentals of Painting
Summer Camps | Week 1 July 5 - July 9 (Ages 9 to 14!) 12:00 - 3:00 pm
- 200 Canadian dollars$200
At this camp we will learn the building blocks of painting: color, composition, value, form, brushwork, and perspective. The fundamentals are generally universal across different mediums and styles. Learning them will help our students become well-rounded and versatile artists. Our camps are designed with different skill levels in mind, we cater to each individual child based on their age, skill and attention span. We encourage free creativity while teaching technique in a structured environment, we give older kids more challenging art levels and responsibility, we encourage younger ones to seek help from the older kids creating a community and cooperative space. All ages execute the same art projects on different levels, for example, older kids draw the subject while the younger ones may be given a stencil to help them out. We will try and spend as much time as possible outside (weather allowing) we will encourage more hand washing and ensure that kids are keeping safe distancing when sharing sensory bins. Our sensory bins will consist of only antibacterial materials like shaving cream, soap, and water etc. (don't worry we are very creative with our sensory bins!) Our cleaning procedures were always impeccable (who else washes walls!) but we have switched our cleaning to all antiseptic products to ensure a more sanitized environment. Reserve your spot now and we will contact you closer to the date for a health screening questionnaire that must be completed before campers are welcomed on the first day.
